Leader Prerequisite Questions

Nonnegotiable questions to determine your readiness to lead people.

The following four nonnegotiable questions ensure the right people possess the prerequisites to be transformed and transitioned into the most important responsibility in the world: leading people. Are the Right People Leading Your People?

These questions reveal frequently overlooked, predictable, and preventable failure points. Too often, stepping into a leader role is viewed as a promotion rather than the career transformation it truly is.

Lack of training, or incorrect training, is one of the most common gaps first-time leaders face.

Your answers determine your readiness to lead, not your ability to learn how. If you cannot confidently answer “Yes” to all four questions, you should remain in your current role, for now. Sometimes the best career move is choosing readiness before responsibility.

If you answer “Yes” to the first three questions, but not the fourth, my First-Time Leaders Accelerated℠ Lab is designed for you.

Leader Prerequisite Questions
Do you demonstrate excellent self-leader skills? (Leading yourself well is the most important leader skill)
